GLASA will provide golf instruction and practices once a week on Sundays for 2 hours for 7-8 weeks in the summer for individuals with physical or visual disabilities of all ages and skill levels. There will be opportunities to play rounds during these weekly meetings. GLASA will also host several clinics. GLASA will provide participants with the use of adaptive golf carts and clubs, as well as gloves, balls, and other supplies. While the program is open to
individuals with any physical disability, the most prevalent disabilities among
our participants are cerebral palsy, spina bifida, stroke, traumatic brain
injury, amputation, spinal cord injury, muscular dystrophy and other orthopedic
impairments.

Participants in the adaptive golf program will be allowed to partake in an unlimited number of certain other GLASA sports and fitness programming with their paid membership (such aswheelchair tennis, yoga, and conditioning); they will also have access to GLASA’s supportive services such as our no-cost adaptive equipment loan closet which includes handcycles, sport wheelchairs, roller trainers, and more.
Financial assistance towards membership fees is available to any participant in
need; membership is free for military veterans.
