There are many youth that are prohibited from playing high-impact school sports, like basketball and football, because of mild disabilities like sickle cell or artificial joints, just to name a couple. Playing sports is a huge morale booster and exercise benefit. A Perfect Swing Foundation (501c3) looks to introduce these and other youth to the game of golf as a low-impact alternative sport while providing workshops and events to enhance their leadership, communication, and networking skills. Playing golf will help boost their morale and get them moving. This will impact their overall health and wellness, as well as their outlook on life. Additionally, this will allow them to compete in school competitions and potentially earn a college scholarship, as well as potentially play professionally one day.

A Perfect Swing Foundation

&nbsp;The Advocates Professional Golf Association was established in 2010 as a non-profit organization with the mission to bring greater diversity to the game of golf. The APGA Tour Board of Directors work to accomplish this by hosting and operating professional golf tournaments, player development programs, mentoring programs and by introducing the game to inner city young people. The APGA Foundation aims to bring greater diversity to the game of golf through hosting clinics across the country. Through a signature 3-phase program, the APGA Foundation advocates health and wellbeing, improves career trajectory, and brings golf education to underserved youth.

The Bob-O-Links Junior Golf Club was organized in 1954 under the direction of Agnes Williams of the Chicago Women’s Golf Club. The Bob-O-Links Junior Golf Club teaches the game of golf to both male and female children ages 8-17. The program begins each golf season with an orientation-open house meeting in March for both returning and new members and their parents at the Chicago Women's Golf Club clubhouse located in Chicago, IL. Starting April through June each child is given 10 Saturday golf lessons with a PGA Professional, emphasizing current golf rules and procedures. Instruction is further enhanced with weekly hands-on workshops, golf course walkthroughs and a Junior Golf championship tournament to ensure that the children are provided with the complete golf experience.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Empowerment Through Golf 

Excel Youth Academy is a nonprofit organization on a mission to build a community of well-balanced youth, who are equipped with the necessary knowledge to cultivate a network of lifelong success. Using the lessons from the game of golf and the teachings from STEAM activities; EYA provides a fun safe space for our youth between the ages of 7 and 17 to accelerate and advance within their own definitions of achievement! Get Golf Ready is the golf industry's player development program for adults new to the game, returning to the game, or expanding their understanding of the game. It features five group lessons in which students learn the game from the putting green to the teeing ground. Each lesson features time spent on the golf course to help lessen the intimidation factor many beginners feel when playing a round of golf for the first time.&nbsp;

Get Golf Ready

<a href="https://admin.makegolfyourthing.org/mgyt-admin/programs/247" target="_self">GLASA will provide golf instruction and practices once a week on Sundays for 2 hours for 7-8 weeks in the summer for individuals with physical or visual disabilities of all ages and skill levels. There will be opportunities to play rounds during these weekly meetings. GLASA will also host several clinics. GLASA will provide participants with the use of adaptive golf carts and clubs, as well as gloves, balls, and other supplies. While the program is open to individuals with any physical disability, the most prevalent disabilities among our participants are cerebral palsy, spina bifida, stroke, traumatic brain injury, amputation, spinal cord injury, muscular dystrophy and other orthopedic impairments. </a>
Participants in the adaptive golf program will be allowed to partake in an unlimited number of certain other GLASA sports and fitness programming with their paid membership (such aswheelchair tennis, yoga, and conditioning); they will also have access to GLASA’s supportive services such as our no-cost adaptive equipment loan closet which includes handcycles, sport wheelchairs, roller trainers, and more. Financial assistance towards membership fees is available to any participant in need; membership is free for military veterans.

Since 1897, the Golf Association of Philadelphia has been committed to celebrating and growing amateur golf by providing opportunities for golfers across the region to enjoy the game. GAP provides several benefits to the Philadelphia golf community including course rating services, amateur competitions, volunteer opportunities, and educational programs related to the Rules of Golf. Greater Cleveland Junior Golf Scholarship Fund

Harris Park proposes to provide 120 children with golf instruction and 780 additional children and adults with free
access to the award-winning Harris Park Pitch &amp; Putt golf course, located in urban Kansas City, MO. Golf instruction,
paired with life skills education, is provided by The First Tee. Additional instructors from local colleges hold special
classes on Tuesdays for children who are part of the Boys &amp; Girls Club of Kansas City. People from all over Kansas
City come to play on our course.
Harris Park uses sports to draw families in and provides many programs and services that contribute to good health.
While children are in golf programs, yoga classes are in session for parents. Some parents also prefer to walk our trail
or take younger kids to the playground in the park, or simply enjoy our green spaces.
Harris Park, a private, 501c3 park, is the only green space in the area. The park was created after redlining and the
following disinvestment left an entire city block condemned over several years. For much of the city’s history, Kansas
City’s public parks were used as buffer zones that reinforced segregation and cultural boundaries. Until nearly 2020,
little investment was made in parks on the east side. As a nonprofit founded and run by a life-long member of the
community, Harris Park presents the only safe green space that is truly owned by the community.
Harris Park’s golf and other sports programming presents the opportunity for community members to develop healthy
habits and participate in sports that are often available only in wealthier communities. Harris Park aims to “Change the
Game” and make golf and good health accessible to everyone.

In 2021, the Lowcountry chapter of the Stand Up and Play Foundation developed a groundbreaking Golf Therapy program designed to help Emergency Responders who have suffered injuries, illnesses, or challenges whether they occurred in the line of duty or after serving and protecting. The dependents of emergency responders are also encouraged to attend. We believe that a program like this has been needed for many years.
The program was co-founded by a medically-retired firefighter by the name of Josh Swindle who was paralyzed in the line of duty that knows first-hand the challenges that many emergency responders face. He is now a Man on a Mission to help his fellow emergency responders.
The other co-founder of the program is Rich O’Brien whose life was saved by City of Charleston firefighter Paul Tumminia who revived him three times after he suffered catastrophic injuries in a golf cart accident that included a broken neck, broken back, four skull fractures, and brain damage in every lobe of his brain. On that day, Paul fought hard to keep Rich alive against all odds. During his long road to recovery, Rich endured 12,000 hours of physical therapy and has pioneered the use of golf as therapy for the recovery from injuries, illnesses, or challenges. The HERO Program is his way of returning the favor to emergency responders for saving his life.
The program is FREE to Emergency Responders and their families as a thank you for serving and protecting our community. Emergency Responders with no previous golf experience are welcome. Golf equipment is provided if needed for the clinics.
The HERO Golf Therapy Program has quickly become very popular with the emergency responders and their families. We also invited members of the community that have mobility challenges, traumatic brain injuries, amputated limbs, birth defects, or other injuries, illnesses, or challenges and would benefit from Golf Therapy. Of special note, many of these individuals lives were saved by emergency responders. The clinics now regularly attract 50-60 participants making it one of the largest adaptive golf programs.
Clinics are held from 0900-1100 on the 2nd Saturday of each month at The Golf Club at Wescott Plantation in Summerville, SC.

HERO Golf Therapy Program

The Hi-5 Golf Program provides an excellent introduction to the game of golf for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. Our Program runs for 6-8 weeks on Wednesday nights at Van Patten Golf Club in Clifton Park, New York. Our sessions run about 60 minutes and include various stations that are geared towards different parts of the game of golf while building the requisite motor skills and techniques required. Our program traditionally goes from the end of June to the middle of August and also includes a mini golf night at Players Park at Eagle Crest Golf Club, and a 9 hole season finale at Barney Road Golf Course. The Howard Bailey Junior Golf Program is designed to provide Indiana juniors competitive, afforable, high-quality events close to home, while teaching the players the rules &amp; etiquette of the game. The I AM a Golfer Foundation was formed in 2018 with a mission to be a catalyst for community renewal and transformation in south Dallas through the programming, preservation, and promotion of the historic Cedar Crest Golf Course. Our founding pillars are Instruction, Jobs, and Scholarships.
Under the I AM a Golfer pillar, IAMGF provides affordable golf programs for youth, organizations, and schools in the southern Dallas community. Youth members (age 7-17) under this program receive first-class, PGA instruction and playing opportunities at little-to-no cost. These opportunities include weekly clinics, special events, PGA Jr. League, Operation 36 challenges, NTPGA Junior Tour events, and more.
Under the I AM an Intern pillar, IAMGF provides paid internships to local high school and college students, ages 16 to 22, at Cedar Crest Golf Course. The IAMGF’s comprehensive internship program offers youth in the southern Dallas community an opportunity to gain real-world work experience in the golf industry and to develop skills that are necessary to succeed in any career field.

The Latina Golfers Association (LGA) empowers women and girls by teaching them how to leverage golf as a business tool to enhance their careers and personal lives and to use golf as a fairway to a higher education. The LGA eliminates the intimidation factor surrounding the game of golf and we make golf accessible to girls and women by conduction (free for girls) affordable golf clinics and lessons for newbies and beginner/intermediate players. golf for their professional development, personal enjoyment, and to promote a healthy lifestyle. What started as a passion and love of the game quickly turned into a movement with over 3,000 members in Los Angeles County alone. The response to the LGA’s golf clinics, golf lessons, workshops, golf outings, tournaments, golf etiquette lessons and receptions has been overwhelming. Women from all walks of life including bankers, attorneys, corporate professionals, entrepreneurs, doctors, educators, housewives, media professionals, and students have joined the LGA network. The success of the Latina Golfers Association is due, in part, to the inviting atmosphere we create at our golf events. The LGA eliminates the intimidating ambiance that can surround the game of golf. The Learn to Golf (LTG) program is a hands-on introduction to the game of golf for Scottish Rite patients, who are children with physical differences or disabilities. LTG clinics are held in cities throughout the state of Texas, including Fort Worth, Austin, Dallas, Longview, Bullard, Frisco, Grand Prairie, and Lubbock. Morning (8:30 - 11:30) and afternoon sessions (12:30 - 3:30) are offered at each clinic. The program is provided without charge to patients of Scottish Rite for Children.

&nbsp;Matrix Youth Golf &amp; Sports, seeks to address the barriers that the majority of inner-city, low-income youth experience when looking to join or consider the prospect of taking up a sport like golf: transportation barriers, financial barriers, lack of coaches, or available mentors, and lack of safe environments or adequate facilities to support play. Our program provides a safe, accessible golf program facilitated by experienced golfers and community mentors with goals of engaging youth long-term to help increase academic achievement, foster positive relationship-building skills, have a healthy perspective of opportunity, inclusivity, and breaking barriers while deterring at-risk behavior while learning a sport and building athletic technique. Additionally, our program goes one step further seeking to address equity issues that exist within the communities we serve, attempting to level the playing field by providing equitable golf programming to youth from disparate households. &nbsp;
Within the program’s model, Matrix Youth Golf tackles the hard objectives stated above by engaging local volunteers who are experienced and avid golfers through our partnership with Golf. My Future. My Game. as program coaches and mentors. This method provides a positive lens to the sport, as well as working with men and women from the community that golf invites, while also helping to forge and foster positive relationships within the youth community we serve. These relationships are instrumental in helping youth navigate life obstacles while also exposing them to future career and recreation options.&nbsp;
This evening and after-school youth service provide young people in Osborn with positive alternative activities in their community. The target age group is 14-17; however, the program will work with youth up to the age of 21 to provide early teens with golf and mentoring opportunities, while older teens and young adults can continue their golf activities but also be exposed to Matrix’s other college readiness and youth employment programs.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Matrix Youth Golf and Sports Program

The Midnight Golf Program is dedicated to equipping determined young adults through life skills training, proactive coaching, long-term mentoring and the discipline of golf in order to succeed in college, in their careers and beyond. 
We works with 250 students annually beginning their senior year of high school. Participants' golf experience and athletic background vary but the vast major are beginners or have never picked up a golf club prior to our program. Students work with 8 PGA Class A Professionals + 30 mentors each session twice per week for 30 weeks.

Midnight Golf Program

Two classes will be offered to cover putting, chipping, pitching, irons, woods and on course play.
Six weeks of classes will begin on Monday Jun. 6th at 10 am to 11 am and Thursday Jun. 9 th at 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm. There will be no class the week of July 4th.

Midnight Sun Golf Course offers golf classes on a weekly basis following the US Kids Golf Player Pathway curriculum. These classes are blended of all levels with activities scaffolded to the individual level. The US Kids Golf Player Pathway offers game-based instruction that enhances the ability to learn for individuals of all abilities.

Established in 2001, the Midwestern Amputee Golf Association (MWAGA) is a volunteer group of individuals who have experienced and overcome the loss of a limb or limbs and utilize the game of golf to promote friendship, fitness, fun and rehabilitation through active participation in golf for amputees of all ages.  We believe our local annual amputee golf event helps not just amputee golfers, but any golfer with a physical disability, achieve some of these objectives. Course overview:
- We utilize a typical golf camp model with PGA lessons and daily opportunities for golf, while also incorporating various mental health providers who are either licensed or have spent years in their professions, to provide resources to better equip our participants with tools to cope with and manage the unique traumas that these professions bring about.
- Our focus is to create an environment for four days that enables our participants to feel both welcomed and accepted and to understand that what they have experienced in their professions is not uncommon and can be managed in positive ways with the proper education and resources, as well as practice.
- Participants are encouraged to share traumas and emotions that they have been hesitant or unable to talk about in the past with their families, friends, coworkers, and others around them, as well as helping to understand where their moral injury/PTSD comes from and how to better manage stress, anxiety, and their emotions.

The Operation 36 program provides beginners with an easy and realistic plan to progress from playing their first 9 hole round to shooting par (36) or better!
There are two parts of the program. First, participants learn to play by joining a weekly group coaching class led by passionate golf professionals. Second, participants have scheduled 9 hole events where they get to play golf in a comfortable setting with others of a similar skill level.

Besides oversized clubs, balls, and targets, we use soccer balls (foot golf), frisbees (disc golf), and our unique Airgolf Flyer to teach kids the basic skills of distance and direction through kicking, throwing, and circle swing games.

Founded in 2007, the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour hosts events across the East Coast and has active members from over 36 states and Canada. The primary initiative of Girls Golf of America Inc, a 501(c)3 not for profit foundation, our mission is to actively sustain the growth of girl’s golf by providing a nationwide progression-based competition pathway for girls to develop, compete and be recognized.
In our history, more than 1,300 alumni have advanced to the collegiate and/or professional ranks. We aim for a positive environment to grow and sustain girl’s golfers thru skill/yardage appropriate, quality competitions. In 2022, the PKBGT will offer a year-round tournament schedule featuring over 150 one, two- and three-day events for players of various skill levels, including the PKBGT/NB3 Girls National Championship on the Golf Channel.

PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is the flagship military program of PGA REACH, the charitable foundation of the PGA of America. PGA HOPE introduces golf to Veterans and Active Duty Military to enhance their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being.
The program introduces the game of golf through a developmental 6-8 week curriculum, taught by PGA Professionals trained in adaptive golf and military cultural competency. All programs are funded by PGA REACH and supplemented by PGA Section Foundations, so the cost of programming is free to all Veterans.
PGA HOPE has a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), which enables Recreational Therapists to refer Veterans to the PGA HOPE program as a form of therapy. RevelationGolf is a not for profit that is working with the Military/Veteran Community to assit in the healing and recovery by providing weekly clinics with specially trained clinicians and LPGA/PGA professtionals to help each person grow in the game at their own level. Swing 2 Soar mission is to helps shape the lives of the underserved youth from the inner city and all over the Metro Baltimore area by giving them an alternate outlet, through the game of golf. Swing 2 Soar wants to provide the youth of Baltimore with positive, lifelong social interactive skills; such as etiquette, communication, conflict resolution, teamwork, goal achievement, competitiveness and sportsmanship and in the end to learn more about themselves.

The Ted Rhodes Foundation is named after African American golf pioneer and golf trailblazer Ted Rhodes. Ted was the 1st African American professional golfer in the modern era to play in the US Open (1948). He won over 150 golf tournaments during the course of his career. Tiger Woods mentioned Ted as one of the pioneers that paved the way for him to play golf. There is a golf course named after him in Nashville, TN. He was granted posthumous membership to the PGA in 2009.

Ted Rhodes’ vision was to make the game of golf open to all races. The Foundation is honoring his vision by creating pipelines of minority golfers by hosting educational events, golf clinics, and golf tournaments for youth and adults.

Our youth initiatives are part of our Future Golfers of America “Growing the Champions of Tomorrow” Program to expose youth in the urban areas to the great game of golf. We partner with urban youth golf programs, such as the First Tee Programs in Illinois, NW Indiana, Atlanta, North Florida, and Tennessee. We also provide Communication and Leadership training for the youth via the Toastmasters Youth Leadership Program. In addition to learning about golf, students learn how to craft speeches and deliver speeches in front of an audience. Also, students get leadership experience through this program. We believe it is important to teach the students golf skills and life skills which will help them learn more about the golf industry and potentially work in the golf industry (internships, etc.)to help move the game of golf forward by creating pipelines of talented students. We provide financial support to urban junior golf programs and Historically Black Colleges &amp; Universities (HBCUs) Golf Programs to keep these programs alive.

The Caddie and Leadership Academy

The GLOVe Foundation is a 501(c)3 Tax-Exempt organization located in Mobile, Alabama. We provide youth mentoring through the teaching of golf. We have assisted in the implementation of the Firsttee National School program in over 50 public and private elementary schools in Mobile County.
We are a certified site for the LPGA/USGA Girls Golf and a benefactor of the Sticks-for-Kids programs. Annually, we have 200+ girls in our program from 3-4 of the 51 elementary schools. We provide access to children of all ethnicities within the metro area. However, 98% of our participants are African-American. Of which, 80% are females.

The Middle Atlantic Blind Golf Association Junior Golf Program holds monthly outings and clinics for boys and girls ages 7-21 who are blind or visually impaired. All skill levels are welcome and the clinics are free.&nbsp;
The Junior Program provides each player with a PGA teacher who will give lessons at at course near the players' houses. They also provide the player with golf clubs, golf balls and a golf bag.&nbsp;
Our goal is to teach kids golf but also to provide a fun-filled day for our families. "Our success is measured in smiles!"

The U.S. Adaptive golf Alliance comprised of over 40 501c3 organizations, also runs its own adaptive golf programs in the state of Illinois &amp; beyond its borders. Delivering 6,237 adaptive golf lessons in 2022 utilizing our 6week SNAG golf programs in High School Adaptive PE Classes, Park Districts, &amp; Special Recreation Associations. Our goal is to advance the player to our 8 week community adaptive golf driving range programs to introduce them to standard golf equipment modifying if necessary with the goal of getting them out on the course for an On course experiance or to play with friends &amp; family.

U.S. Adaptive Golf Alliance

U.S. Kids Golf Local Tours are created to provide boys and girls, ages 5 to 18, the opportunity to advance their skills in the game in age-appropriate competition without having to take the time and incur the costs of having to travel long distances. A Local Tour consists of between six and eight one-day tournaments including a season-ending one-day Local Tour Championship. Players earn awards and points for each tournament. Our Mission To help kids have fun leaning the lifelong game of golf and encourage family interaction that build lasting memories.

Welcome2Golf is a program designed to convert non-golfing adults into committed golfers by introducing them to the game of golf through a fun and safe welcoming experience. The three components that makeup Welcome2Golf are:
INVITE (Our instructors are trained to reach out to their local communities and "invite" people to try golf, rather than wait for non-golfers to find them)
INTRODUCE (Once W2G participants visit our facilities, they are "introduced" to many of the components of the game including a tour of the facility, what to wear, how to practice, on-course experiences, etc... to increase their understanding and comfort level... opening the doors to a great golf learning experience. The actual instruction is what brings everything together.)
CONVERT (We know, that creating a committed golfer doesn't end when the lessons end. In the "CONVERT" stage, new golfers are given reasons and opportunities to come back, play, and learn... all in a fun and non-intimidating atmosphere that encourages play.)

Welcome2Golf

The Players Program is conducted at a golf course, with instruction both on the range and on the course. Individual instruction and coaching is provided for skillbuilding, along with tournament supervision. Girls are also taught the rules of golf, nutrition, exercises and stretching for golf and character-building traits. Clothing and equipment is also provided for free to the girls through in-kind donation programs.&nbsp;

Women Golfers Give Back Players Program

The Women In Golf Foundation, Inc., headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, is a 501-C3 organization that promotes women in golf. The organization focuses on creating opportunities for females by implementing programs that develop leadership and life skills as they learn to play the game of golf competitively for business and recreational purposes.
Support and training are provided for female youth golfers early through college and entry into their chosen profession. The organization’s signature focus is on the development of women collegiate golf teams and identifying career opportunities within the golf industry and other corporate positions. To keep this focus, young girls are recruited and developed as a feeder pool for collegiate institutions.

Women’s Golf Day (WGD) is a global movement that Engages, Empowers, and Supports women and girls through golf and facilities them learning the skills that last a lifetime. The one-day, four-hour event, has now taken place at more than 1000 locations in nearly 80 countries since its inception in 2016, and has introduced thousands of new golfers to the sport.

Women's Golf Day

The core purpose of Youth on Course is to provide youth with access to life-changing opportunities through golf. More than 130,000 members play nearly 2,000 golf courses for $5 or less, benefit from career opportunities through the caddie and internship program and receive college scholarships. Headquartered in Pebble Beach, California Youth on Course is a 501(c)3 organization that began as the charitable arm of the Northern California Golf Association. Since 2006, nearly two million subsidized rounds have been played by Youth on Course members and more than $2 million has been awarded in college scholarships. Across North America, Youth on Course serves all of the United States of America and parts of Canada.
