One of our most popular programs returns for the 2024 season, our Lil Golfers Program. This class is geared toward those junior golfers who are ages 3 to 6 years old. This program introduces these junior golfers to the game of golf through game based learning. Game based learning is the best learning experience for this age group as it keeps their attention on the games while learning the fundamentals of the game. The classes will take place at Lassing Pointe on the driving range along with on course if space allows. New for the year, we will be having a couple different options on classes. On Tuesday May 14th from 6:30 - 8:00 pm, we will be hosting a free high school rules seminar at Boone Links in the banquet room. The event is free to attend with a completed registration. During this seminar, we will discuss various rules and procedures for high school golfers that they need to know. Speakers will be confirmed at a later date.

Session 1 is geared towards the slightly older and more experienced junior. We will go through all the basics of how to swing a club, golf course etiquette, on course experiences and much more! Juniors will receive approximately 1 hour of group lessons from Head Golf Professional Andrew Krugler and other likeminded golf instructors. Time: 9:00 a.m.- 10:00 a.m. Dates: Tuesday, June 18th, June25th, July 2nd, July 9th, July 23rdand July 30th. One rain make-up day will be programmed in for August 6th. Tuesday Juniors Session 2 Session 2 is geared towards the younger and less experienced junior golfers. Participants will be working on having fun, with a healthy sprinkling of golf. Juniors will be introduced to the game but also work on having a good time outside in the Wisconsin weather. Some activities include putting contests, golf baseball and on course activities! Our final graduation week will be on the golf course. Start time 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Dates: Tuesday, June 18th, June25th, July 2nd, July 9th, July 23rdand July 30th. **Welcome to our 2024 Player Development Program** This program caters to golfers of every skill level who are committed to advancing on their golfing path. Spanning over eight weeks, it encompasses a variety of subjects crafted to enhance your game and elevate your enjoyment on the course. Below are the topics we will explore throughout these eight weeks. **Week 1: Fundamentals of the Golf Swing** - Grip, stance, posture: Participants learn the basics of setting up for a proper golf swing. - Alignment and ball position: Understanding how alignment and ball position affect ball flight. - Basic swing mechanics: Introduction to the key components of a golf swing, including takeaway, backswing, downswing, and follow-through. **Week 2: Short Game Essentials** - Putting fundamentals: Participants learn proper putting grip, stance, and stroke mechanics. - Chipping techniques: Introduction to various chipping techniques, including bump and run, pitch shots, and flop shots. - Pitching and bunker play: Tips and drills for executing pitch shots and getting out of greenside bunkers with confidence. **Week 3: Iron Play and Ball Striking** - Iron shot fundamentals: Focus on solid contact and ball flight control with mid- and short-irons. - Distance control: Techniques for controlling distance and trajectory with different iron clubs. - Iron play drills: Incorporating drills to improve consistency and accuracy with iron shots. **Week 4: Driving and Long Game** - Driver fundamentals: Tips for maximizing distance and accuracy off the tee. - Fairway woods and hybrids: Techniques for hitting long shots from the fairway and rough. - Driving range session: Participants have the opportunity to practice driving and long game skills with instructor feedback. **Week 5: Course Management and Strategy** - Tee shot strategy: Understanding how to play to strengths and manage risks on different types of holes. - Approach shot strategy: Planning approach shots based on pin position, hazards, and green conditions. - Mental game tips: Developing a course management mindset and making smart decisions on the course. **Week 6: Specialty Shots and Troubleshooting** - Specialty shots: Learning how to execute specialty shots such as punch shots, high fades, and low draws. - Troubleshooting common issues: Addressing common swing faults and offering solutions for improvement. - Q&A session: Participants have the opportunity to ask questions and seek advice on specific aspects of their game. **Week 7: Putting Mastery** - Putting alignment and aim: Techniques for lining up putts accurately and reading greens effectively. - Distance control drills: Drills and exercises to improve lag putting and proximity to the hole. - Putting games: Fun putting games and challenges to test skills and build confidence on the greens. **Week 8: Wrap-Up and Review** - Review of key concepts: Recap of fundamental skills and strategies covered throughout the program. - Individual feedback: Participants receive personalized feedback from instructors and set goals for continued improvement. **Extra Information** - It is $30 per week. _April 2024 - October 31, 2024_ The **Summer Junior Elite Academy** provides critical swing, short game, and course management instruction for your competitive junior golfer, providing them their best opportunity for success in advance of, and during, their 2024 tournament season. All summer lessons are conducted outdoors at NorthStar Golf Club. **What's Included** - 20 One-Hour Private Golf Lessons with Chris Casto, PGA. Our summer Breakfast Club Clinic is a four-week program offering beginner, intermediate, and advanced golfer instruction. The clinic goals are to make golf more inviting for the beginner as well as the advanced player. We also want to connect new golfer with those who have been playing for a long time. The group will meet Monday morings starting June 3rd through June 24th. We will begin on the practice facility and make our way to the table. We will have menu selection before practice and meals after.
